Our Team
Kristina Corvin, Graduate Student Program Associate
As a child of a refugee, Kristina is especially committed to issues of immigration and inter-cultural exchange and understanding. Having lived and worked in 4 different countries, she brings to Upwardly Global international experience in social services, case management, and program development, including work with bi-cultural families and refugees, as well as working at a Central and East European non-profit resource center. She studied in a Hungarian Cultural and Linguistics Institute and in a German institute for child development after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh. As a hobby, she also enjoys learning about the structure, history, and cultural nuances of languages. She speaks Hungarian and German, has studied Serbo-Croatian and French, and is currently starting to learn Finnish. Kristina came to New York to study for a Master's Degree in international public administration and non-profit management.
