Laura Barrera-Vera, Jobseeker Outreach Coordinator (New York)

Laura brings to Upwardly Global experience in media and communications. Prior to joining Upwardly Global Laura was a production assistant for TV commercials. While in university, Laura served as the General Secretary of the Colombian Association of Students of Social Communication. She coordinated the XII Latin American Student Congress of Social Communication and worked with several South American media agencies to promote this event. Laura earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication from Universidad Javeriana in Bogota , Colombia . She is fluent in Spanish.
