Marjan Farshchiha, Volunteer Program Coordinator (Chicago)

Marjan Farshchiha was born in Iran and grew up in Austria, where she earned a BA in International Relations and Business Administration. With over 10 years of experience in real estate development in Austria, she brings a wealth of experience in management, strategy development, sales and marketing to Upwardly Global. After relocating to Chicago, she established the United States National Committee for UNIFEM Chicago Chapter, developing it into one of the fastest-growing chapters in the U.S. Her dedication and hard work for her cause was not left unnoticed and the City of Chicago's Commission on Human Relations Advisory Council on Women awarded her the 2008 SAGE Award for Innovative Leadership in Addressing the Global Issues of Women and Girls.
