Global Engineers in Residence (GEIR) is our mid-career engineering intern program

Global Engineers in Residence (GEIR) is our mid-career engineering intern program that builds on the traditional internship model to bring experienced foreign-trained engineers together with engineering employers interested in building their talent pipeline.

GEIR Candidates

GEIR participants are internationally-trained engineers with diverse cultural backgrounds across a range of engineering disciplines. They need no visa sponsorship because they have come to the US legally as refugees, asylees, or permanent residents. They are experienced, but need to gain meaningful U.S. work experience in their field and connections to the workforce.

Why GEIR?

Participation in the GEIR program is a low cost, low risk way to expand your company’s project capacity and access to talent; and given the experience of our talent pool, it invests your pipeline development budget where you can reap the highest return on investment.

The program allows employers to observe the work product of GEIR candidates, their interactions with clients and teammates, and assess their fit within the company culture, and there is no commitment to hire GEIR candidates.
