State Government Tackles Immigrant Integration

The federal comprehensive immigration reform bill went down twice. What does this mean for immigration reform and immigrant integration?

Spotlight: IT Project Manger, Taiwan - New York (willing to relocate)

Yung-Teng (Alex) is a Project Management Specialist with 9 years of experience managing IT projects across multiple industries including manufacturing, software development, telecom, banking, military, and academia. He is looking to continue his career in the US as an IT Project Manger. Regie is a non-profit professional with 3 years experience in development and grants management, as well as 13 years of extensive project management and administrative coordination experience. Regie was a Program and Administrative Officer for the Metrobank Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Philippines largest financial institution. Regie holds a Bachelor of Science and an Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the Philippines , the top ranked school in the country.

Spotlight: English as a Second Language Teacher - New York (unable to relocate at this time)

Anahit is an English as a Second Language Teacher with more than 30 years experience teaching English to adults, with a focus on University Business and Accounting students. She has published numerous textbooks and articles both for teachers and students. Anahit holds a Bachelors degree in English Language and Pedagogy from Yerevan State Pedagogical Institute of Russian and Foreign Languages in Yerevan, Armenia.

Success Stories

Judy, from China , recently accepted a position as Recruiter with Techlink Systems, a technical recruiting firm in San Francisco. In this position, Judy will be utilizing the specialized sales and recruiting experience she gained as a technical recruiter in China . Judy was introduced to T echlink Systems through the Upwardly Global Employer Network.

Regina, originally from Russia, will start the fall with a position as an English as a Second Language Teacher with California State Univeristy - East Bay’s American Language Program. Regina will apply her 20 plus years of University-level English language teaching experience in Russia. Regina is fluent in English, Ukrainian, and Russian, and proficient in German.
