Upwardly Global Launches “Industry Leading Partnership” Program

In September 2006, Upwardly Global officially launched its largest ever employer partnership with JP Morgan Chase through the new Upwardly Global office in New York City. To date, JP Morgan Chase’s dedication to understanding and hiring Upwardly Global jobseekers has resulted in 8 new hires! Their actions demonstrate their role as an Industry Leader in this issue.

Based on this success, Upwardly Global is expanding its “Industry Leading Partnership” program to other Fortune 1000 companies. As part of this partnership level, Upwardly Global works with employers to implement strategies to address talent and global diversity needs. The approach is more holistic, focusing on Education, Engagement, and Employment as a way to build the internal capacity necessary for strategic diversity initiatives to succeed.

As we begin conversations to build more Industry Leading Partnerships, we are looking to corporate leaders to be Changemakers: to use their creativity and commitment in solving this problem, and to lead other employers toward this vision. Upwardly Global is seeking to connect to Changmaking Executives of Fortune 1000 companies to act as champions of our vision.

Upwardly Global Champions are:

  • Passionate and creative about leveraging a diverse workforce
  • Involved in Diversity Councils or other similar initiatives
  • Skilled change managers, changing both systems and mindsets
  • Well-connected internally and externally
  • Interested in creating a legacy of inclusion for their organizations
