5th Annual Fall Seminar A generation ago, companies began to realize that excluding women and minorities from positions of influence was not only morally wrong, it was bad for business. Leading organizations are not merely seeking diverse talent domestically, but in an interconnected global economy, they are looking beyond national borders for the best and brightest. This keynote will discuss the benefits and barriers to global inclusion. Ted Childs is recognized as one of the most influential leaders in Diversity. His groundbreaking initiatives in Diversity and Work/Life Balance have achieved a significant impact beyond IBM. This panel will discuss the current and forecasted demand for skilled talent, immigration policies proposed in effect and businesses' task of protecting domestic assets and attracting the innovative, enterprising professionals. Panel II: Organizational Design to Serve Emerging Markets The Ethnic Market of the United States is valued at $1.6 Trillion, the sixth largest economy in the world. Leading companies have transitioned from viewing ethnic markets as a niche to ethnic markets as a core market, and are incorporating multiculturalism into their DNA. This panel will include leaders from top brands, discussing how their organizations are adapting to serve ethnic markets, suppliers and shareholders. Panelists include experts and thought leaders:
