Inspirational Immigrant Award

To be presented at the 5th Annual Fall Seminar on November 9th, 2006

NOMINATIONS DEADLINE: October 6th, 2006

Do you know a New American who came to the US as an adult, built an impressive career and rose to the highest levels of his/her career field? We would like to honor such an individual!

Criteria for Selection
The nominee must be an individual who:

is foreign-born and completed university abroad
works in his or her professional field of training
shows a demonstrated interest in promoting and furthering the mission of Upwardly Global through his/her work
has demonstrated innovation and leadership in his/her profession
is available to accept the award on November 9th, 2006in San Francisco

		Last Year's Winner Dr. Mai Phuong Dinh, Medical Professional, Kern Medical Center • Native of Vietnam • Graduated from the University of Pharmacy and Medicine, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam • Restarted her career in the US as a laboratory assistant, recertified and relicensed to practice in the US, while working full time. • A mentor for immigrants and role model for foreign born physicians.
