Derek Li is a private equity associate at Riverside Partners, focusing on technology investing. Prior to joining Riverside, he was an investment banking analyst at Foros Group, where he was involved in executing a variety of M&A transactions. Derek hails from New York City and holds a B.A. in Economics-Mathematics from Columbia University.
The son of immigrants, Derek strongly believes in Upwardly Global’s mission. Growing up, he learned about the challenges his parents faced in navigating both personal and career obstacles while adjusting to a new country. As a member of the Leadership Council, Derek is excited to support Upwardly Global’s work in helping immigrant and refugee professionals succeed.
