Judy Olivo

Judy is the Group Director of Retail Experience at CHANEL where she works with the retail team on delivering exceptional client service and unforgettable experiences within the boutiques. Prior to joining CHANEL, she has worked for various fashion and fragrance and beauty brands with a focus on client service, operations and experience; a common thread in Judy’s career is service to others as it is a great passion of hers. Judy earned a B.A in Economics from Brandeis University and studied abroad in Milan, Italy for a year at Universita’ Cattolica. She also spent her final year in undergraduate studies at Princeton University at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs specializing in advanced microeconomics and statistics.

Judy is a daughter of Immigrant parents originating from the Dominican Republic and Egypt. She was born in upper Manhattan and grew up in Astoria, Queens. Observing her mother’s strength in raising her alone in a foreign country and seeing how the community pulled together to help one another left a significant impact on her. She saw at a very young age how hard her mother worked to find employment, learn English, join a union and provide for her and her brother. Her upbringing has made Judy acutely aware of the importance of helping others and lending a hand to those who need help in kickstarting a new journey in life. With that being said, she is incredibly grateful and excited to help support the mission of Upwardly Global and helping to mobilize those in search of employment here in the US.
