Alexis M. Williams is a fundraising leader and strategic partnerships expert with over 15 years of experience securing transformative resources for mission-driven organizations and for-profit companies. She has personally raised more than $80 million in philanthropic capital and directed strategies for portfolios exceeding $100 million, with deep expertise in building and leading high-performing teams, cultivating high-net-worth donors, and forging cross-sector alliances that drive measurable impact.
Throughout her career, Alexis has served in senior leadership and advisory roles across sectors including reproductive health, economic mobility, social innovation, racial equity, climate sustainability, disaster relief, arts and culture, and housing, helping organizations achieve ambitious growth and scale. Her experience includes shaping strategy and revenue development for INSEAD, Echoing Green, SBP and other high-growth nonprofits, as well as guiding national campaigns that mobilized corporate, philanthropic, and community support.
As Upwardly Global’s Chief Revenue Officer, she leads the organization’s strategic growth agenda developing sustainable revenue streams, expanding philanthropic and corporate partnerships, and advancing economic opportunity for immigrants and refugees nationwide.
Alexis holds a BA from Franklin University Switzerland and is a graduate of Columbia University’s Executive Education program. Alexis serves on the advisory council of BlackFemaleProject and Network for Good Donor Advised Fund, contributing her expertise in philanthropic innovation and systems change.
