Shape the Future
Upwardly Global’s Leadership Councils bring together passionate changemakers and visionary leaders who want to make a difference and have fun doing it. As a member, you’ll help shape a strong, inclusive future of work through community engagement, advocacy, and fundraising. Along the way, you’ll make meaningful connections with some incredible people. The Leadership Council isn’t just about giving back – it’s about being part of an inspiring community where impact, purpose, and joy come together.
As a member of the Leadership Council, you will have the opportunity for:
Community Engagement
Foster growth and connection with job seekers and fellow members through volunteering, mentorship, and events.
Advocacy
Share stories, champion immigrant inclusion, and help create connections with organizations, companies, and partners who can strengthen our mission.
Fundraising
Empower the mission to support immigrants and refugees as they restart their careers by activating your network, planning events, and raising funds.
Stay engaged through regular check-ins and collaboration.
Most often this looks like monthly meetings (virtual or in person) with your local LC and opportunities to connect nationally.
Commit to a two-year journey.
Be part of a team that drives impact over time and sees the results of your contributions.
Volunteer.
All members give their time to directly support job seekers and alumni—through mentoring, events, or other meaningful activities.
Make an annual give/get commitment of $2,500.
This can include your own giving and mobilizing your network to help fuel Upwardly Global’s mission.
Create impact through action.
Help plan and host events, lead initiatives, and amplify Upwardly Global’s message to expand our reach and strengthen partnerships.
Current regional chapters include New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Seattle, and San Francisco. Individuals living in areas outside these chapters are welcome to join virtually.
