Nina Wheeler is the Vice President of Marketing & Communications at Upwardly Global, where she leads the organization’s brand, communications, and marketing strategy. Her work focuses on elevating Upwardly Global’s national voice on immigrant inclusion and workforce innovation.

Nina brings more than a decade of experience in strategic communications, media relations, and brand-building. Before joining Upwardly Global, she was at the award-winning communications agency BerlinRosen, where she advised nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and mission-driven institutions on integrated communications campaigns and public engagement strategies. Her clients included the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the Skatepark Project, the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation, Vote Common Good, ANCOR, and Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE). 

At Upwardly Global, Nina leads efforts to expand the organization’s visibility and influence across audiences. She works closely with leadership and program teams to translate Upwardly Global’s impact into compelling stories that highlight the economic and community benefits of opening up opportunities for immigrant and refugee professionals.

Nina is a graduate of the Miss Porter’s School and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. She lives in Denver, Colorado.
