Upwardly Global Spotlighted on Channel WTOL 11 Toledo, Ohio; President and CEO Jina Krause-Vilmar Interviewed

Upwardly Global was recently featured in a news spotlight for WTOL Toledo, Ohio. The video explains how Upwardly Global provides a range of services to help refugees and immigrants find meaningful employment, including skill training, job search support, and networking opportunities. Through these services, Upwardly Global is helping to ensure that refugees and immigrants are able to contribute to their communities and build successful careers in the U.S.

The video also features an interview with our President and CEO Jina Krause-Vilmar. “The unemployment rate is really low in the state of Ohio; it’s at 3.9%. Right now, there are 176,000 job openings. For every unemployed person, there are 1.7 jobs, so there’s not enough people to take those jobs — and at the moment in the United States, 85% of growth in the working-age population today comes from immigrants and children of immigrants,” she explained.
