Upwardly Global is funded to work with fully work-authorized professionals in the United States. Because of this, we have to verify your work authorization to accept you into the program. We also view your university diploma to verify that you have a bachelor’s degree or higher.

In some locations, we will ask you to complete paperwork related to our funders.

Upwardly Global is not a placement agency and we do not guarantee job placement. We are here to prepare you to conduct your own successful job search with our support.

After you complete the program, you will have new tools: A U.S.-style professional resume and cover letter, connections to professionals in your field, and improved interview and networking skills.

Your success in finding a job will depend on your motivation and determination.

When you meet with your Career Coach, you will determine a meeting frequency and schedule that works well for both of you. Career Coaches will be available to meet about once per month, unless otherwise determined.

Career Coaches work Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Career Coaches are available to meet you either in person or virtually depending on your preferences and the Career Coach’s availability.

Our program is free to anyone who qualifies.

Upwardly Global has supportive funders and sponsors that provide us with grants and donations, which allow us to offer our services and programs at no cost. In return, we expect a full commitment from you when you decide to participate in our program.

Upwardly Global does not directly provide training in these areas, but we work with many training partners to ensure that you have free access to vital resources.

Upwardly Global’s training is focused on helping you build your soft skills to conduct a successful U.S. job search. If you have been outside of a professional field for more than 10 years, you face increased barriers to career reentry that may not be addressed by our programs and services.

We recommend that you consider returning to school to study or pursuing recertification to build your technical skills and make yourself a strong candidate for the current job market.

No, but Upwardly Global shares our job-readiness training with partner organizations across the U.S. who may serve clients in areas we do not cover.

You are welcome to share your contact information here, and we will contact you if we are able to recommend a partner organization to you.

After finding a professional-level job, you will have continued free access to a digital library of job-readiness training materials and to Coursera, which offers thousands of skill-building courses.

This is determined on a case-by-case basis, as we work to ensure all job seekers we work with are set up for success in the professional job market. If you have previously received all of the tools we offer to help you navigate the U.S. job search independently, we will ask that you review those materials.

Currently, our professional networking and informational events are virtual and occur about once a month.

Upwardly Global’s Career Coaching Program is for those who are actively engaging in the professional-level job search. We do not support those looking to focus on university education and do not offer university scholarships.

If a member of the Upwardly Global team asks you for a resume before meeting your coach, yes — please include all of your work experience on that resume.

If you are in the Career Coaching Program, you will then have an opportunity to work with a Career Coach to tailor your resume for employment opportunities.

The English language assessment helps us ensure that we are giving you access to the right resources. If you don’t communicate in an intermediate or advanced level of English according to the English assessment, you are welcome to share your contact information here, and we will contact you if we are able to recommend another career-services partner organization to you.
