Upwardly Global is excited to welcome Asim Husain, Vice President and General Manager at Google, to its Board of Directors.

With 30 years of deep leadership experience in the technology sector, Asim has spent the past 17 years in diverse leadership roles at Google, driving engineering and product innovation. Before Google, he spent 13 years in the enterprise software sector at PeopleSoft and Oracle.

Asim brings a proven track record of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a comprehensive understanding of enterprise and consumer technology landscapes, coupled with a strong commitment to community engagement.

Growing up in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Asim moved to the U.S. for college and graduated from Bowling Green State University. Now based in Atherton, California, he lives with his wife Sabah, an entrepreneur who leads an interior design studio, and their two children, Isla and Rowan.

Asim and his family are deeply committed to community support through organizations such as Tipping Point, Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula, and board-level leadership at the Palo Alto Junior Museum and the Menlo Park School Foundation.

His extensive leadership, dedication, and innovation will be invaluable to the Upwardly Global Board as he builds innovative bridges to opportunity for professional immigrants and refugees.
