Upwardly Global convened a special public board meeting on November 14, 2024, focusing on “Election 2024: Strategy for Supporting Immigrant and Refugee Communities.”

During this special session, President and CEO Jina Krause-Vilmar examined how the recent election outcomes could affect immigrant and refugee communities. She emphasized the critical role of the Upwardly Global community in ensuring these skilled professionals can continue to fully participate in the workforce and make meaningful contributions to their local communities.

Krause-Vilmar also touched on “Unlocking Brighter Futures Together,” a strategic initiative designed to broaden the organization’s impact through partnerships and extend support to more immigrant and refugee professionals nationwide. This plan aims to foster more inclusive workforce systems across the country.
