Collaboration brings critical career resources and education to incoming communities of color supported by Hispanic Federation

NEW YORKUpwardly Global, the leading organization dismantling employment barriers for work-authorized immigrants, refugees, and asylees, is proud to announce an expansive new partnership with Hispanic Federation (HF), the nation’s premier Latino nonprofit membership organization representing more than 650 member organizations across the country and Puerto Rico. The partnership will seek to increase the financial stability of the newly arrived Latino workforce and prepare them for an evolving U.S. job market that is more reliant on digital skills. Launched this year in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Orlando, the collaboration provides Hispanic Federation’s migrant community with access to specialized career pathway resources.

The collaboration between the organizations will provide program participants access to the Upwardly Global Learning platform, a suite of training resources, and industry-specific certifications, which help newly arrived job seekers improve their skills and advance their career aspirations. Hispanic Federation’s career coaches will also receive extensive training and technical assistance in the latest workforce tools and solutions designed to help newcomer job seekers continue to provide for themselves and their families in the U.S.

“This partnership marks a pivotal moment as both organizations bring their unique strengths to the table, uniting to strategically propel immigrant communities into thriving-wage jobs,” says Jina Krause-Vilmar, President and CEO of Upwardly Global. “Together, we are dedicated to forging innovative models of inclusion that not only support but also empower our immigrant populations to excel and integrate seamlessly into the fabric of society.”

“The growing Latino population is undoubtedly a valuable contributor to the U.S. economy. Through this partnership with Upwardly Global, we will be able to collaborate and pool our resources and knowledge to empower Latino migrants with culturally competent trainings to develop a whole new series of job skills to restart their careers in the U.S.,” said Frankie Miranda, President and CEO of Hispanic Federation.

The program will serve over 90 job seekers in its pilot year and will expand its reach to over 600 clients across 10 cities by its third year, demonstrating a commitment to long-term, sustainable impact. The Hispanic Federation is currently launching programs with its partners across three key locations:

The Hispanic Federation collaboration is part of Upwardly Global’s expanded partnership model, which aims to reach over 25,000 job seekers in 2025 through refugee resettlement agencies, workforce development organizations, and community colleges.

Through a cohort-style approach, the collaboration fosters a sense of community and shared learning among participating organizations, enhancing support for job seekers and breaking new ground in creating a more inclusive and equitable workforce.
