About Tammi Ling

MANAGING VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONAL RISK MANAGEMENT

Tammi is a Managing Vice President of Operational Risk Management at Capital One. She oversees Control Programs and Testing and is responsible for Third Party Risk Management; Business Continuity Risk Management; Environmental, Health, and Safety Risk Management; Control Program Governance; and Operational Risk Management Control Testing. She is also responsible for Enterprise Crisis Management.

Prior to joining Capital One, Tammi was a Senior Partner at Oliver Wyman where she was most recently Co-Head of the New York Office, its largest office globally, and Co-Lead of the Compliance Risk Management practice in the Americas. In that role, she was focused on advising Chief Risk, Compliance and Operational Risk Officers of the largest US and global banks on strategic and regulatory imperatives.

Tammi is passionate about social impact. Tammi has been on the Leadership Council for New York with Upwardly Global since 2010, and joined the Board in 2020. At Oliver Wyman, she was also the Chair of Oliver Wyman for Society in New York, where she was responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s strategy for engagement with the New York community.

Tammi graduated from the University of Sydney, Australia with a B. Commerce in Finance, Accounting and Econometrics, and a B. Science in Psychology; and is a CFA charterholder. She is a food and wine aficionado, with a Level 3 Award in Wines and is currently pursuing a Diploma in Wines from the WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust).
